The Birla Institute of Technology & Science is deemed to be university and is ranked in top 10 engineering colleges of the country. The entry to this top ranked institute is through a “computer based online test” called BITSAT. The first rankers of the various board examinations will be given direct admission.
Eligibility:-
Student must have passed XII standard examination with 80% aggregate marks in PCM with at least 60% marks in individual subjects. Single droppers are also eligible to appear if they explain with genuine reason for the gap year. Although preference will be given to fresher students.
Exam format:-
The test consist of four parts namely, I- Mathematics, II- Physics, III- Chemistry, IV- (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning.
All questions are objective having four choices, only one being correct. 3 marks will be awarded for each correct answer, there is negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer. All the questions and instructions of the examination will be in English only.
