About the JMETJoint Management Entrance Test (JMET ) is the first step in the process of admission to the TWO YEAR FULL TIME Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.JMET is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to look up the details provided in the online e-brochure about the programmes available in the participating Institutes. There is no limit to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria. Candidates should note that the final selection would depend on their performance in each of the components of the selection process. |

| How to Apply JMET 2010 Application Form has to be submitted ONLINE. ONLINE submission of application can be done by accessing the website of any of the IITs or IISc. There are two modes of applying based on the method of fee payment that you choose. The application fee is Rs.350/- for SC/ST/PD candidates and Rs. 750/- for all other candidates. After applying ONLINE, there are some documents that you will have to post to the "Chairman, GATE Office, IISc Bangalore-560012". The details are given in the following link,

Programmes and Eligiblity
Eligibility criteria to apply for the programmes at the various IITs are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria listed against the Management School/Department of each Institute can appear for the JMET examination.
Students in their final year of qualifying degree course are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, and their continuation in the programme is subject to the completion of all requirements for the qualifying degree and submission of provisional degree certificate on or before the date stipulated by the admitting Institute.

JMET Results and Score
JMET results
JMET 2010 results will be announced on January 4, 2010 at 1000 hours at GATE offices of IISc/IITs. It will also be available on the websites of IISc/IITs. The JMET website will provide the JMET scores to both qualified and non-qualified candidates.
JMET 2010 score is valid for one year from the date of announcement of the results.
The JMET results of the qualified candidates will be made available to interested organizations (educational institutions, R & D laboratories, industries, etc.) in
JMET scorecard
Scorecard will be sent only to the qualified candidates. No information will be sent to candidates who are not qualified.
The scorecard will indicate All India Rank, total marks and the marks obtained in each of the four sub-categories viz. Verbal communication, Logical reasoning, Quantitative ability and Data interpretation.
The evaluation of the ORS is carried out by a computerized process using scanning machines with utmost care. Requests for revaluation of the answer script and re-totaling of marks will not be entertained.
